From the very first outing, confidence grows, smiles appear, and collaboration comes naturally through the discovery and conquest of the wind.   [Discover Wind Classes](https://arcticwindriders.ca/fr-ca/windclass?hsLang=en-ca) --- ## For Youth, By Youth ## Local Leadership, Regional Experiences Young instructors who get involved in their community also gain leadership experience by teaching in other communities during introductory camps. [Become an Instructor](https://arcticwindriders.ca/fr-ca/activation?hsLang=en-ca) ![125](https://arcticwindriders.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/P%20Optimale%20-%20vraiment/125.jpg?width=848&height=477&name=125.jpg) --- ## Local Development With the goal of empowering youth involvement in communities, the program builds strong foundations by providing training and equipment. Our approach encourages the creation of local recreational, sporting, or eco-tourism activities—opening doors to new employment opportunities, knowledge transfer, and awareness of renewable energy. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ The **Recreation Department of the Kativik Regional Government** manages the program’s development activities across its 14 communities. **Nunavik Parks** also offers visitors the chance to explore Pingualuit Park on parawing-ski and to descend the steep slopes of the crater on alpine skis.   [Contact Us](https://arcticwindriders.ca/contact?hsLang=en-ca) ![198](https://arcticwindriders.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/P%20Optimale%20-%20vraiment/198.jpg?width=848&height=477&name=198.jpg) --- ![2004-01-09 11.13.58](https://arcticwindriders.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/Club%20activation/2004-01-09%2011.13.58.jpg?width=2000&name=2004-01-09%2011.13.58.jpg) ## Learning in the Field Parawing activities can be easily integrated into school and extracurricular programs. Students aged 13 and over can use the equipment during one or two class periods per week. This gives young people the chance to go outside and learn in the field a new sport adapted to their environment. Harnessing wind energy to travel across frozen bays and lakes also means learning to recognize different types of ice, clouds, and the behaviors of local wildlife.   Plan a Wind Class --- ## A Program in Your Hands # A Flexible, Collaborative Approach The program adapts to the realities, priorities, and resources of each community. Whether it takes the form of an outdoor course, a community workshop, an expedition, or a tourism project, **Arctic Wind Riders evolves with those who carry it forward.** Like a sail adjusted to the local winds, the program adapts to your rhythm. Discover your possibilities.   [Contact Us](https://arcticwindriders.ca/contact?hsLang=en-ca) ![2004-01-09 17.31.23](https://arcticwindriders.ca/hs-fs/hubfs/2004-01-09%2017.31.23.jpg?width=2000&name=2004-01-09%2017.31.23.jpg) --- --- --- [![Arctic Wind Riders ](https://arcticwindriders.ca/hubfs/logo-awr.svg)](https://arcticwindriders.ca/en-ca/?hsLang=en-ca) - [Home](https://arcticwindriders.ca/en-ca/) - [Program](https://arcticwindriders.ca/en-ca/programme) - [Wind Class](https://arcticwindriders.ca/en-ca/windclass) - [Training](https://arcticwindriders.ca/en-ca/activation) - [Camps-Clubs](https://arcticwindriders.ca/en-ca/camps-initiations-et-clubs) - [Championships](https://arcticwindriders.ca/en-ca/championnats) - [Travelling](https://arcticwindriders.ca/en-ca/le_nord_autrement) - [Contact](https://arcticwindriders.ca/en-ca/contact) ©2025 Productions Kunoki Inc.
